This week, I was taken aback by a beautiful son of praise that was so relevant to my life. This song wasn't written by Hillsong Worship, or Elevation, or any other big music group. In fact, this song didn't even have chords or a backing track. Instead, I found this song in the book of Psalms.

Psalms 69:5-6
You, God, know my folly; my guilt is not hidden from you. Lord, the Lord Almighty, may those who hope in you not be disgraced because of me; God of Israel, may those who seek you not be put to shame because of me. Over the past week I feel as though I have been on an emotional roller coaster. I’ve been joyful, exhausted, agitated, confused, distant, goofy, satisfied, hurt, and just about everything in between. I do not think this has as much to blame on “mood swings” as it does being human.
Psalm 23:1-3 (CSB)
The Lord is my shepherd; I have what I need. He lets me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside quiet waters. He renews my life; he leads me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Have you ever been put in a position where pride was lurking around the corner just begging you to peek around? To be completely honest with you, pride is a sin I have dealt with for a long time. As a kid, I did not realize how wrong it was, but in the past few months, the Lord has taken a spotlight to my heart and pointed out how much I really do need to grow in this area.
