We like control, don’t we? We like being the leader of our own lives and many times we want to control other’s lives as well. Honestly, the title of this post is completely counter-cultural. How can you like being out of control?
Well, here’s the deal: I’ve tried to control a lot of situations, and I’ve screwed them up big time! When I try to take control of my life, I have stress - a pressure to make sure I do a good job. I always end up feeling like a failure because even in my best efforts, I simply can’t control the world. So why do my attempts at greatness end up in utter chaos? Immediately im·me·di·ate·ly [iˈmēdēətlē] adverb at once; instantly. “I called immediately for an ambulance” synonyms: straight away, at once, right away, right now, instantly, now, directly, promptly, forthwith The word immediately is powerful. It shows no delay or hesitation. It is urgent and important. It is describing how something is done - implying action. |
