"Yes." Three little letters that make one monumental word. Saying "yes" in certain situations can change the entire course of your life (take a marriage proposal for example). Saying "yes" can be terrifying at times because it launches you right out of your comfort zone into the unknown. It's risky, it's a wild card, but I think that a lot of the time it is totally worth it.
Over the past couple years, I have made it a goal to say "yes" to things that scare me - that make me uncomfortable. Because of this, I've been able to get a college degree at age 17. I've started this blog. I've spoken at a CIY event to over 2,000 people. I will have traveled out of America three times by my eighteenth birthday. And a couple days ago, I went on the Ripcord at Worlds of Fun, where I was able to fall 189 feet at 70mph (by the way, I'm scared of heights).

This is the final post in the Day-to-Day series. As sad as I am to be closing off the series, I am so very excited to share this interview! Linda Reeves is one of my amazing aunts and is a former-homeschool mom to six boys!
Her faith is inspiring to me, and I was delighted that she was willing to share some insight as a missionary mom. So without further-to-do... Here's her interview! This post is coming a couple days late because I'm getting back into the swing of things after my LAST high school finals week!
The timing is perfect because this week, I interviewed my PreK-12th grade teacher a.k.a. my mom, Sue Ann Skrdlant! My mom has been a wonderful example of a life of discipleship for me throughout the years. For this interview, I wanted to focus on her ministry of being a parent, in the church, and her involvement in Women's Encounters. She shares some great wisdom, so let's get right to it! |
