Have you ever doubted God’s plan for your life? Maybe you wondered whether He could actually manage to make anything good come from your hard situation. You might have thought He just didn’t care; or maybe He did, but you didn’t know if it was worth it to keep fighting the good fight.
I usually find it pretty easy to sit at my computer and type out the note of encouragement I get to call my blog. But if I’m being truly honest with y’all, I’d tell you that over the past few months, every time I say “yes” to God, the devil attacks with more force than ever. It’s draining.

Growing up, I remember listening to the story of Moses in the book of Exodus and coming to the part where Moses asks, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?” God replied, “I AM WHO I AM. (Ex. 3:13-14)”
I also clearly remember thinking, “What?!?” I didn’t understand why some people got excited at that part. I didn’t understand it at all – that is, until a couple days ago. The name I AM holds an ever-present reality about who God is! Do you love people? Like really love with the unconditional reckless love of God pouring out from your thoughts, words, and actions?
I used to think I loved people unconditionally, but after doing some serious heart searching, I realized I don’t. |
